Flashback in Time

First off can we all agree how crazy it is that Thanksgiving is this Thursday? I wish I knew where the time went because it went from summer to the holidays so quickly. And of course the holiday season means being super busy with finals, decorating, and lots and lots of eating. This weekend alone is going to be chaotic but it is still my favorite time of the year. I cannot wait for a good turkey dinner and some awesome Greek lamb cooked by my Mama. Unfortunately, my family will not be taking part in our traditional Thanksgiving with all of our good friends and we will definitely miss it; however, we are spending it with my dad's side of the family and I'm sure it'll be just as fun. It's going to be very nice to see my grandma and spend this holiday with my family. I'm going to have to take lots of pictures of all the yummy food and holiday fashion! Do you have any fun plans?

Now to the Fashion!

I was really feeling the flapper girl style this weekend and so I found a tutorial to the finger wave curls with a small curling iron. While it might be rather easy technique-wise and cute, it was so time consuming that I would have to be very bored to ever do it again. So I finally got my hair to sit how I wanted it and threw together a very flapper-esque outfit. I had planned to have my boyfriend just snap some outfit photos of me when he got to my house and to my surprise he volunteered to actually dress up and take pictures with me. An opportunity to play dress up with my boyfriend? Hell yeah I was excited about that! So, we grabbed an outfit for him and headed back to my house to take pictures. Forgetting that the sun sets incredibly early this time of the year we waited a little too long and had to mess around with the lights in my backyard. I have to say there were a lot of pictures that came out surprisingly good! We had such a blast and we ended up taking over 400 pictures. Check out our Flashback in Time photoshoot!**warning! it's a little picture heavy!**

So there they are! I don't know what you all think but I thought they came out so cool. oh and I don't smoke if anyone is wondering, I was just holding it for the picture. Maybe I'll do these Flashback in Time themed photoshoots every once in a while. It definitely was a lot of fun!

Fashion Inspiration: Karla Deras

For the past year I have been wanting a certain haircut and this is the haircut of fashion blogger over at http://www.karlascloset.com . I love everything about it. It's classic and timeless and just so beautiful overall. My only problem was that the last time I cut my hair above the shoulder I cried my eyes out because it was nothing like the picture I showed my hairdresser at the time… So after a lot of talking, thinking, and convincing, I finally did it. I got the Karla cut and I am absolutely in love. I decided to dedicate this post to the wonderful Karla Deras and her amazing style. I have been finding a lot of inspiration in her lately when it comes to putting together outfits that go with this new hair-do.

Now here is my Karla inspired outfit based off of those last two pictures. the other two were just to show how great her style is and how absolutely amazing the hair cut really is.

Another Fresh Start

So here I am with my 3rd…no 4th…well I guess it doesn't matter what attempt I'm at in trying to run a blog at least somewhat consistently and successfully. But the fact is that I am trying one more time! This is a fresh start on my old blog in which I re-vamped a little. Let's just say that website I created did not work out too well. My heart just belongs to blogspot. Now I am making my pledge because it's good to have something to take up my extra time that I would instead be wasting on the couch, sleeping, or pointlessly eating only out of boredom. I can now do it with a computer on my lap and get something out of it! Hopefully! Here's my pledge: I Gabriella Lillian Shor pledge to blog consistently at least once a week bringing to each and every one of my readers some sort of insight to my fashion and daily life tips and tricks.

That being said, let's do this thing.

Now enjoy this picture of a silly kitten until I get my next post up and running:
